#VISUAL ART #MUSIC #5 SENSES
For Kandinskij the art work is a score of shapes and colors with its own sound and breath, a world where the viewer is invited to dive “with all his senses”. And it is precisely this “synaesthetic” vision that has stimulated my desire to bring Kandinskij’s words (contained in the texts Point and line to plane and Concerning the Spiritual in Art) closer to children and to their “multisensory perception” of the world.
On stage a body dialogues with the silence of a point in space, with the poetry of a curved line that evokes a smile, immersed in the explosion of a color, which is also food, perfume, the sound of a musical instrument, every color a note and in the sensory immersion of the actress the child is mirrored, living their present perceptions and finding the memory of their senses as images in the mind.
In the close dialogue between the painter-technician and the actress on stage, in a game of video projections, the elements of painting evoke worlds that physically touch the bodies: what is the scent of a color? What is its taste and its sound? … Biting a lemon, sour sound, sour color that comes out of the soul and invades space.
