We believed that technology would solve the problem of communication between people, that having a phone always in our pocket would make life easier, that social media would make it easier to relate with others. This is not how it happened. The advent of technology has indeed accelerated our thinking and communication time, but it has also complicated them: between misunderstandings, conflicts and distances only a small part of what we communicate is actually heard and understood.
It is a matter of incoming filters:we all have them, but we are unaware of most of them; and often we are not able to identify those of our interlocutors. Is all this technology actually helping us to be better people?
