Starting with the idea of “transforming oneself” found in Ovid’s Metamorphoses, artist Dario Moretti creates a path in which change is the result of artifice. Creating a contrast of forms, to displace and amaze. Without trickery or illusion, a different is shown, enclosed in the form of an artifact, something that clashes with the real, but is nonetheless real. It is not the illusion that is on display, but its idea, which can then lead us to a real transformation, but to make this happen, we must enter a dimension that can be shared only with fools, children, fools, actors and dreamers.
