FOREST AND FUTURE – GARDENS OF CULTURE

Giorgio Vacchiano talks with WE Gino, an informal group of young students from Mantua who discuss current issues in informal meetings at the Baratta Library.

Giorgio Vacchiano is the author of “The Resilience of the Forest. Stories of Forests Changing the Planet,” the book from which the ForesTEEN project is based on:

“Tutte le foreste che ho incontrato mi hanno rivelato storie di connessioni: tra alberi e alberi, tra alberi e animali, tra alberi e acqua, o aria, o fuoco. Tra alberi e uomini. E anche tra uomini e uomini. Mi hanno mostrato che siamo completamente e costantemente immersi negli ecosistemi che ci danno la vita. Siamo una loro causa e un loro effetto. Siamo in relazione con ogni elemento.” “All the forests I encountered revealed to me stories of connections: between trees and trees, between trees and animals, between trees and water, or air, or fire. Between trees and humans. And also between humans and humans. They showed me that we are completely and constantly immersed in the ecosystems that give us life. We are a cause and effect of them. We are related to each element.”

Who can participate? Anyone between 15 and 25 years old and adults participating in the cultural ecosystem related to them (parents, teachers, cultural workers)

By participating in this event, you will be able to become a ForesTEEN Ambassador

INSTRUCTIONS

🎟️ Purchase or reserve a seat of the chosen event of the schedule*;

👣 Arrive 15 minutes before the start and register yourself at the QR code at the entrance;

🎯 Make sure your ticket is stamped with the ForesTEEN stamp before or after the event;

✍️ Write a brief written review (800 characters) accompanied by a photo, audio, and/or video detailing the experience.

📮 Send the review to the “ForesTEEN Ambassadors – CRITICHE” WhatsApp group (JOIN HERE) via mail a segreteria@segnidinfanzia.org or send/drop the review in the association’s mailbox at: Segni d’infanzia Associazione, via Leopoldo Camillo Volta 9B, Mantova MN 46100 – Italy;

📈 Get a refund (if you paid the entrance, stamp your ticket!) and gain score on your cultural baggage: accumulate points by sending the review. This will allow you to be selected for the #VisitingExperience as a ForesTEEN Ambassador: i.g. international and national trips which the ForesTEEN project covers food and accommodation costs for, thanks to the European funding.

How to become a ForesTEEN Ambassador?

If you are a person between the ages of 15 and 25, you can participate in the events described in this Programming as a ForesTEEN Ambassador by joining this whatsapp group.

Collect your points by doing reviews of the events you attend: you will be able to travel in Italy and abroad, and meet other TEEN Ambassadors.

The score is generated by the points earned sending the reviews, the greater cultural baggage is, the higher the score will be; score through which it is possible to access the selections of trips and opportunities reserved for the young participants, and whose expenses are covered totally or partially by the project.
