Tib Teatro resides at the Municipal Theater of Belluno and is a structure recognized by the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities and by the Veneto Region. It has been operating since 1993 in the Belluno area, under an agreement with different Municipal Administrations of the province of Belluno and with the Theaters of the Dolomites Foundation. The structure elaborates and realizes – at the Teatro Comunale di Belluno residence space – artistic theater projects dedicated to the new generations, contemporary dramaturgy, theatrical education and training, integration between the scenic arts and the historical and architectural configuration of the places. Projects of national scope, albeit strongly rooted and matured in the territory, such as the show Polvere or the history of theater, presented at the Venice Biennale, a show that reveals the intrinsic dramaturgy of an architectural space, which identifies between places and their representations new possibilities of use of the spaces themselves, new production of meaning.
Tib Teatro’s artistic path is aimed at the promotion and dissemination of theatrical culture in the territory to which it belongs both through production projects and through training and programming projects – Theater Seasons for the New Generations, Seasons of Contemporary Theater, workshop, conferences, exhibitions -, of integration of the performing arts and the environment – Filo d’Arianna Festival, and urban redevelopment of abandoned areas – Casa delle Arti.
A multidisciplinary project, that of Tib Teatro, of production, training, programming and promotion, aimed at promoting the plurality of artistic expressions and the dialogue between them and the community, also with educational interventions.
