MATTEO CORRADINI

Matteo Corradini (1975) is a Hebraist and a writer. He has a doctorate in Oriental Languages and Literature with a specialization in Hebrew, and is involved in the teaching of Memory and expression projects. He is one of the curators of the festival scrittorincittà (Cuneo). Since 2003 he has been doing research on the ghetto of Terezín, in the Czech Republic, recovering stories, objects, musical instruments. He founded the Pavel Žalud Quartet and the Pavel Žalud Trio in Italy and is one of the founders of the Institut terezínských skladatelů (Terezín Composers Institute) in the Czech Republic. He prepares musical readings and theatre directions and publishes with Bompiani and Rizzoli. In 2014 he won the 2014 Primo Romanzo Prize; in 2018 the Andersen Prize and Leipzig Prize. Among his latest books, Solo una parola (Rizzoli). His books are translated by RandomHouse in Germany and by Gallimard in France.
