In the year marking the centenary of Gianni Rodari’s birth, many schools celebrated him by having children play with his nursery rhymes, poems and stories. Just as the great teacher would have wished.
We discover how to play with words and listen to two of Rodari’s most famous Christmas nursery rhymes.
“Ritorna ogni anno…”
and
“Il mago del Natale” in the reinterpretation of the boys and girls of the Anna Frank preschool in Mantua, who together with the teachers and Alce Nero’s LudARTeca, on the occasion of the festivities, rewrote it: to learn more about their project click HERE
The Rodari pre-school – which bears the name of the teacher – also had boys and girls graphically rework the teacher’s poems and stories: this resulted in many drawings of fir trees – where there is room for everyone, from Martians to Indians – button trees and chocolate streets… See a selection of their work HERE.
Thanks to the teachers and schools who shared the Christmas preparation activities with us!
