ABC – Allegra Brigata Cinematica

ABC – Allegra Brigata Cinematica is a cultural association that aims to spread the culture of dance, movement, video and visual arts. It was founded in 2015 by Serena Marossi and Luca Citron.

Kinematics is that branch of mechanics that deals with quantitatively describing the motion of bodies, regardless of the causes of the motion itself. Movement and image are the starting point for our creations, which from time to time involve other artists, with the intention of pursuing artistic and cultural projects by merging different languages and artistic skills.

ABC operates in two closely interconnected areas: artistic production and education. The artistic productions are designed for the younger generation. We want to bring the youngest children closer to the language of the body and dance. Dance not as movement for its own sake but as a communicative, narrative opportunity, as a space for creation and personal expression. In this sense, the art of dance can be a resource in the lives of today’s boys and girls; it is a way of listening to one’s own body and that of others, learning to meet in diversity. Through our performances we deal with themes that we feel are topical and important for the new generations, entrusting artistic language with the task of speaking deeply to our audience.

From the linear simplicity of A B C comes the complexity of multiple discourses.
