La Compagnia della Settimana Dopo is a group born in Rome in 2006 as a collective of experimentation on the theatrical clown. It deals with a research that enriches and mixes the language of the clown with various techniques and disciplines: music, clown therapy, improvisation and puppetry. La Compagnia builds shows as transversal, communicative and popular as possible: in the street, in the theater, in unconventional spaces or, sometimes, traveling. Over the years, La Compagnia’s work has focused on the rediscovery and modernization of the variety, working with many artists of the circus scene and not. La Compagnia organizes workshops on the clown for elementary school children in which they carries out a sort of “education to the clown” trying to free him from the clichés that afflict him getting excellent pedagogical results.
